Champions in the Making

One of the highlights of Summer for many "Iowegians" is attending the Iowa State Fair.  We at Isabel Bloom get pretty excited about it too!

For the 5th straight year, there will be a special sculpture available only during the fair, which runs August 8th through the 18th.  A limited number of "Champions in the Making" in this exclusive finish, will be available for sale through the Blue Ribbon Foundation.  Proceeds will help renovate and improve the Iowa State Fairgrounds.

"Champions in the Making" is available at the Blue Ribbon Foundation booths found throughout the fairgrounds.  The booths are located in the following buildings:

  • John and Emily Putney Family Cattle Barn - Central Foyer
  • John Deere Agriculture Building - Lower East Entrance
  • Jacobson Hall Museum Store
  • Robert Horner and Sheri Avis Horner Service Center

Price for each Limited Edition sculpture is $38.   If any sculptures remain after the fair, they will be on the Iowa State Fair's webstore which will open again in September.  Here is the link:

Hi Chris, Thanks for your comment. Currently we have no immediate plans to bring this out in our line. If/when we do it will need to be in a different finish, because this finish is limited to those sold at the Iowa State Fair. You could always come to the fair! Or find a friend who is going and have them pick one up for you. Just a couple of ideas! 🙂

That’s great! I got this years statue at the fair. I was just curious why this years statue doesn’t have a spot where it says “Iowa State Fair” on it.
Thanks for doing this each year! It’s a tradition for multiple members of my family now.
