Caring for the Community

Caring for the Community

Caring about people in our community is rooted in Isabel Bloom's history. We strive to be an active member of the community by creating sculptures to raise funds for charitable causes. Below are just a few examples of how we have supported nonprofit organizations to help improve the lives of the people we work and live with everyday.

Quad Cities Susan G. Komen
Race for the Cure

Since 1995, Isabel Bloom has designed a sculpture especially for our local chapter of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, committed to saving lives by promoting public education and early detection of breast cancer. 2009 is our 15th year of working with the race and we are proud to be a part of this effort!

Children & Families of Iowa (CFI)

The "Angels of Courage" is a five-year series designed to support the mission of Children & Families of Iowa (CFI), a private nonprofit organization committed to restoring hope, building futures, and changing lives. Each sculpture is inspired by the courage that victims of domestic violence must have to start anew.

Quad City Arts
Festival of Trees (FOT)

For over 20 years, Isabel Bloom has designed a sculpture for Festival of Trees, the annual fundraiser for Quad City Arts, a local nonprofit agency dedicated to the growth and vitality of the region through presentation, development, and celebration of the arts. Funds raised through Festival of Trees allows Quad City Arts to provide quality art programming year round for residents of six counties in Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois.

Habitat for Humanity Quad Cities

Isabel Bloom is part of a new partnership with Habitat for Humanity and will donate a sculpture for each Habitat family moving into a home this year. The sculpture is the Little Bloom Birdhouse, matted on a frame with the verse reading "Love...makes a house a home." Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit Christian housing organzation dedicated to eliminating poverty housing by building simple, decent, affordable homes.

Isabel Bloom Art Education Fund

The Isabel Bloom Art Education Fund was established to honor the memory of our founder, Isabel Bloom and provide extra financial support to the visual arts programs within the primary and secondary schools of Scott and Rock Island Counties. Grants from the fund are used to further the education of local children and art instructors, foster greater appreciation of the visual arts and help enhance the quality of life in the Quad Cities.

- Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), a national organization providing services to those who have lost a loved one while serving in the Armed Forces.
